Essential Oils are all-natural products that need to be stored a certain way so we can get the most out of each bottle. A lot of plant material goes into each bottle so it’s a good idea not to be wasteful.
Airomé’s essential oils are 100% pure, all-natural, and therapeutic grade so storing them correctly is very important to the life-span of the oil.
So how do we store essential oils to keep them fresh for a longer period of time? Here are some tips.
- Store essential oils in a place that stays room temperature, like your kitchen cupboard or bedroom shelf. Keep them away from any heat source, like a kitchen stove or oven. Essential oils are flammable and do have a flash point.
- Don’t expose essential oils to direct sunlight. This is why most essential oils are in dark-colored glass bottles. Keeping your oils in a cupboard or drawer will help the oils last longer.
- When not in use, keep lids sealed tightly on your bottles to avoid exposure to the air. Oxidation will evaporate the oil and cause the essential oil to deteriorate.
- Keep moisture out of your essential oils. You can see if your essential oil has water in it if it appears cloudy or water is beaded up at the bottom of the bottle.
